in the
World Scholar's Cup
WSC is an international competition consisting of tens of thousands of students. Scholars win medals and/or trophies for persuasive debates, compelling essays, and impressive test scores on a preset curriculum of information.
In my five years in the competition, I've been awarded a great deal of medals and trophies in all categories but my most impressive accomplishments were in debating and essay writing. I was selected to be in, and won, the debate showcase a number of times, which is when the debaters with the highest scores compete against each other.

Renaissance Award
This is an accolade unique to Surabaya Intercultural School.
The award represents someone who emulates the virtues of a Renaissance Man, a term used to describe someone skilled in many arenas.
I was awarded this honor because I was extremely active in
sports, theater, student government, and volunteerism.
I wrote a rap as a fun way to explain a period of history and it won me an award in the Frederick County division of the National History Day.
